Attention All DTP Customers: DNSFilter Update

DTP has partnered with DNSFilter to offer advanced DNS filtration. We are deploying DNSFilter as an agent-based deployment, so it can help protect the growing number of work-from-home, or mobile workforce members using the organization’s machines. DNS filtering is currently an add-on service to your MSA, and you may be contemplating if this is something your practice needs. We wanted to share some insight on the many benefits and applications of DNS filtering to help you make an informed decision for your practice …

  • Content filtering is a great way to prevent malicious objects from getting into your environment by denying access to social media and other non-business items on the internet, as well as preventing data extrication by blocking access to rogue file sharing services, or free email that isn’t endorsed or used by your business.
  • A majority of malicious activities on the internet involve confidence scams or other engineering tactics. Many of these begin with malicious ads delivered to otherwise harmless web pages. DNSFilter can help reduce exposure to malicious ads by filtering access to time wasting websites or other undesirable online activity.
  • We can deploy DNSFilter on varied scopes specific for your business. We can deploy it as a simple baseline deterrent against the malicious aspects of the internet, or expand the deployment to implement content filtering on any endpoint the service is deployed to, even setting different policies for different machines/users.

As mentioned above, DNSFilter is currently an add-on service to the DTP Managed Services agreement. Speak with your Account Manager if you are interested in hearing more about DNSFilter and adding this service to your agreement.
